Which pods & nutrients fit your smart garden?

Own an AeroGarden, Click & Grow, Gardyn, Rise or a generic countertop garden? Tell us the brand or model and we will show the pods, grow sponges and nutrients that fit it -- OEM where it exists, plus the cheaper aftermarket/DIY options that fit the same deck. We read 16 system families and do not guess.

Rise Gardens (Personal / Family / Double / Triple)

Supported (brand active) OEM-confirmed Refillable

Pod format: Pre-seeded coir+peat plug in a REUSABLE plastic NET CUP (~2 in standard hydroponic cup) seated over flowing nutrient water (true ebb/recirculating). The most DIY-OPEN of the proprietary systems.

OEM pods: Rise plant pods (pre-seeded, 4-packs) + Seedless Pods (pouch) + Net Cup 12-packs + tray lids (8/12-pod), all sold separately.

What fits (aftermarket / DIY): No branded third-party Rise pod, BUT the holder is a standard net cup -- generic net cups + your own coco/rockwool/Rapid-Rooter + seed are a genuine drop-in DIY substitute (Rise itself sells the empty cups + seedless pods).

OEM nutrient: Rise 3-part liquid (Sprout / Thrive / Blossom); ~10 mL per gallon weekly; the app calculates by plant stage.

Aftermarket nutrient: Rise concedes third-party 'can technically be used'; as true hydroponics it cross-references to GH Flora 3-part or Dyna-Gro -- leafy greens ~pH 5.8-6.2, ~1,000-1,500 PPM (Rise's own blog cites this general band).

Heads up:

  • Most DIY-friendly of the proprietary three: generic net cups + your own plug/seed work; but you ALWAYS dose the reservoir weekly (~10 mL/gal) -- a seedless/DIY pod with no plant food will starve (unlike Click & Grow's self-feeding soil).
  • Fulfillment/inventory risk in 2025-26 -- do not assume reliable OEM pod resupply; lean on the standard-net-cup compatibility.
Recommended grow sponges & pods for the Rise Gardens (Personal / Family / Double / Triple) -- once you have confirmed the exact model, search for it at your preferred retailer.

Many "compatible" / DIY methods are COMMUNITY-tested, not manufacturer-endorsed -- match the physical format (basket diameter, pod type) and dose by the AFTERMARKET nutrient's own schedule, not the unit's reminder light.
