Which pods & nutrients fit your smart garden?
Own an AeroGarden, Click & Grow, Gardyn, Rise or a generic countertop garden? Tell us the brand or model and we will show the pods, grow sponges and nutrients that fit it -- OEM where it exists, plus the cheaper aftermarket/DIY options that fit the same deck. We read 16 system families and do not guess.
Plantaform (fogponics 'egg')
Supported (brand active) OEM-confirmed
Pod format: PROPRIETARY sealed 'Plant Pods' (seeds in a mineral-wool plug); the app SCANS a code on the pack to set the grow profile. The most locked-in of this set (Click & Grow-style closed ecosystem).
OEM pods: Plantaform Plant Pods 15-pk (~$23.99); 'Pod Plugs' 15-set ($19.99) are INERT hole-covers for airflow/cleaning -- NOT refillable seed pods.
What fits (aftermarket / DIY): LOW / NOT documented -- no manufacturer-supported BYO-seed path and no verifiable third-party Plantaform pod. DIY-refilling the mineral-wool plug is possible in principle but UNVERIFIED and unsupported; the scan-to-set-parameters flow assumes OEM pods.
OEM nutrient: Plantaform Nutrients (proprietary powder, ~$19.99 / 6-month supply); NPK/EC not published.
Aftermarket nutrient: Not documented / discouraged by silence. A generic fine-soluble hydroponic nutrient would likely work chemically, BUT fogponics is clog-sensitive and the OEM neither lists NPK nor blesses substitution -- treat generic as unverified DIY-at-own-risk.
Heads up:
- Real recurring lock-in -- no OEM refillable-pod path. 'Pod Plugs' are blanks, often mistaken for refillable pods.
- Fogponics is clog-sensitive: undissolved or organic nutrient risks fouling the fog head -- generic-nutrient experimentation is riskier here than on a tower. NPK/EC undisclosed, so you cannot precisely match a substitute from the label.
Many "compatible" / DIY methods are COMMUNITY-tested, not manufacturer-endorsed -- match the physical format (basket diameter, pod type) and dose by the AFTERMARKET nutrient's own schedule, not the unit's reminder light.
