Which pods & nutrients fit your smart garden?

Own an AeroGarden, Click & Grow, Gardyn, Rise or a generic countertop garden? Tell us the brand or model and we will show the pods, grow sponges and nutrients that fit it -- OEM where it exists, plus the cheaper aftermarket/DIY options that fit the same deck. We read 16 system families and do not guess.

GrowLED Indoor Garden (4 / 10-pod) -- SMART-SOIL nutrient model

Open format Aftermarket cross-ref Refillable

Pod format: Round 'smart soil' sponge plug (~1.77 in / 45 mm dia) in a round basket. OUTLIER: the plug carries ~2-3 months of EMBEDDED nutrient ('smart soil'), so the intended workflow is NO liquid feed.

OEM pods: GrowLED grow-pod sponges 10-pk (B081H458G8) / seed-starter pods 10/20-pk; ships with 10 smart soils.

What fits (aftermarket / DIY): Round AeroGarden-class sponges physically fit the basket -- BUT plain peat sponges have NO embedded nutrient, so if you swap to generic you MUST start dosing A&B yourself. Baskets interchange with standard round net cups.

OEM nutrient: None separate by design -- nutrient is BAKED INTO the smart-soil plug. No A&B bottle in the OEM workflow.

Aftermarket nutrient: Required only if you abandon smart-soil plugs: any general 2-part hydroponic A&B. With true GrowLED smart-soil refills you add nothing.

Heads up:

  • BIGGEST gotcha: GrowLED's value prop is 'no liquid nutrient' because nutrient is in the plug. Swap to a plain peat sponge and plants STARVE unless you start feeding A&B -- users routinely miss this.
  • 1.77 in is on the larger side of the round standard -- confirm basket inner diameter before cross-loading into a tighter third-party basket. ('2-3 months embedded nutrient' is retailer copy, not a lab assay.)
Recommended grow sponges & pods for the GrowLED Indoor Garden (4 / 10-pod) -- SMART-SOIL nutrient model -- once you have confirmed the exact model, search for it at your preferred retailer.

Many "compatible" / DIY methods are COMMUNITY-tested, not manufacturer-endorsed -- match the physical format (basket diameter, pod type) and dose by the AFTERMARKET nutrient's own schedule, not the unit's reminder light.
